He obtained his doctoral degree from Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences in 2001. From 2004 to 2006, he successively worked as a visiting scholar in the Department of Urology at Prince of Wales Hospital, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, at the Surgical Hospital of Heidelberg University in Germany, and conducted postdoctoral research at Texas A&M University, USA. From August 2010 to August 2011, he served as a clinical visiting scholar in the Department of Urology at Heidelberg University Hospital, Germany.

Monographs & Publications: He has published nearly one hundred papers in core journals, including more than 16 SCI articles as first or corresponding author. He worked as assistant editor-in-chief for the 3rd edition of Urologic Surgery and contributed to multiple academic monographs.

Research Interests: Urological malignancies and their minimally invasive treatment, with a focus on the diagnosis and management of prostate cancer.

He is proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of urological diseases and specializes in Da Vinci robotic surgery and conventional laparoscopic procedures, including robotic or laparoscopic adrenalectomy, radical nephrectomy, partial nephrectomy, radical pyeloureterectomy, radical prostatectomy, retroperitoneal lymph node dissection and radical cystectomy. He is among the earliest surgeons to perform Da Vinci robotic surgery in South China. In addition, he is skilled in endourological therapy for urinary disorders and open surgery for complex conditions, such as transurethral resection of the prostate and surgery for renal carcinoma with inferior vena cava tumor thrombus.
