He completed his undergraduate, master’s and doctoral studies at Sun Yat-sen University (formerly Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences). He was a visiting scholar in the Department of Urology at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Texas, USA, from 2013 to 2015.

Publications: His research on the precision diagnosis and treatment of urological tumors has been published in leading international journals including The Lancet Oncology, The Lancet Digital Health, Nature Communications, British Journal of Cancer, World Journal of Urology and Urology, with the highest single impact factor of 41.6. His findings have been adopted by authoritative international clinical guidelines, namely the NCCN Renal Cell Carcinoma Guidelines and the EAU Guidelines.

He serves as the Chief Scientist for the Precision Medicine Special Project on Renal Cell Carcinoma under the National Key Research and Development Program, leading nationwide multicenter research on precision management of renal cancer involving major centers in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Xi’an and other cities. He is a recipient of the National Ten-Thousand Talents Program by the Organization Department of the Central Committee, a Yangtze River Distinguished Professor of the Ministry of Education, and a winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. He is also among the first batch of Guangdong Medical Leading Talents.

His honors include the Second-Class National Award for Science and Technology Progress, the First-Class Guangdong Science and Technology Award, the First-Class Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award, and the First-Class Science and Technology Progress Award for Research Achievements in Higher Education from the Ministry of Education.

Clinical Expertise: He specializes in Da Vinci robotic surgery and the precision diagnosis and treatment of urological tumors.
