Achievements:

1. He has undertaken more than 30 scientific research projects at all levels and holds 13 national patents. He was awarded the Second Prize of Guangdong Science and Technology Progress Award and the First Prize of Guangdong Eugenics Technology Progress Award.
2. He received the honorary title of “Famous Doctor of China · Outstanding Achievement” in 2017.
3. He was selected as one of the first batch of “Guangdong Medical Leading Talents” in 2018.
4. He won the Outstanding Contribution Award from the Andrology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association in 2015.
5. He was honored as one of the “First National Popular Science Experts on Male Health” in 2014.

Publications & Monographs: He has published over 200 papers, among which more than 90 are SCI-indexed. He is the chief editor of official normative documents of the Chinese Medical Association, including the Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Andrological Diseases (2022 Edition) and Clinical Routines for Andrological Diseases. He also serves as chief editor of academic monographs such as Surgery of Andrology, Microsurgical Andrology and Handbook for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Varicocele. Additionally, he edits the male health popular science book series sponsored by the Chinese Medical Association, including Male Infertility and Eugenics, Male Health Management, Life-or-Death Sexuality, Cultivate Sexual Wellness, and Male Health Starts in Childhood.

Others: He has supervised more than 50 doctoral students, master’s students and postdoctoral fellows.

1. Diagnosis and treatment of andrological diseases: male infertility, varicocele, sexual dysfunction, prostate diseases, androgen deficiency, penile curvature, concealed penis, cryptorchidism, Peyronie’s disease, hemospermia, etc.
2. Microsurgical varicocelectomy and microsurgical/minimally invasive treatment for obstructive azoospermia.
3. Genital reconstructive (plastic) surgery and penile prosthesis implantation.
4. Minimally invasive surgery for prostate diseases with preservation of sexual function and urinary continence.
5. Tumors of the testis, penis, prostate, kidney, ureter and bladder.
6. Male health and anti-aging management, reproductive health guidance, and electrophysiological techniques in urology and andrology.
