He received his bachelor’s degree in Clinical Medicine from Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and was admitted to the direct doctoral program in Surgery at the same university without examination in the same year. During his doctoral studies, he was selected for the China-US Joint Training Program and sponsored by the government to study at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. After obtaining his Doctoral degree in Surgery, he joined the Department of Urology at The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. He was also invited for an academic exchange at Prince of Wales Hospital, The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Publications: He independently presides over two National Natural Science Foundation projects and five provincial, ministerial and university-level research grants. He has published more than 20 cancer-related research papers in journals including Cancer Research and Clinical Cancer Research.

Monographs: Author of Whole-course Management and Selected Case Reviews of Renal Cell Carcinoma, published by People’s Medical Publishing House. Contributor to Extraperitoneal Robotic and Laparoscopic Surgery, published by Huazhong University of Science and Technology Press.

Awards: Third Prize in the English Track of the Young Teachers’ Teaching Competition of The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University.

Research Interests: Molecular pathogenesis of renal malignancy, tumor biomarkers, tumor immune microenvironment and relevant translational research.

Clinical Expertise: He specializes in surgical management of renal cell carcinoma, renal pelvic and ureteral carcinoma, bladder cancer, prostate cancer, adrenal tumors and other conditions. He is particularly skilled in minimally invasive laparoscopic and endourological procedures, including laparoscopic radical nephrectomy, radical nephroureterectomy, nephron-sparing surgery for renal tumors, adrenal tumorectomy, transurethral resection of bladder tumors, transurethral resection of the prostate, flexible ureteroscopic lithotripsy and percutaneous nephrolithotomy. He has extensive clinical experience in standardized multidisciplinary treatment for advanced renal cell carcinoma, adrenocortical carcinoma and renal pelvic carcinoma.
