Associate Chief Physician, Master’s Supervisor, and Doctor of Medicine, Department of Neurosurgery, The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. He is a state-sponsored joint-training PhD scholar at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He has presided over a total of seven research grants including General Programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and other provincial and ministerial funds under the Guangdong Natural Science Foundation. In recent years, he has published more than ten SCI papers as the first or corresponding author.

He has been engaged in neurosurgery for over 20 years and possesses extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of common and prevalent neurosurgical diseases. He specializes in pediatric neurosurgical disorders, adult brain tumors such as gliomas, meningiomas and pituitary adenomas, as well as the management of severe craniocerebral conditions. In particular, he is experienced in minimally invasive and endoscopic surgery for sellar region, deep ventricular and parasinus tumors, together with early emergency treatment and late rehabilitation of severe traumatic brain injury.

Basic Research Interests: Mechanisms of neural injury, protection, reconstruction and rehabilitation of brain function.
