He obtained his bachelor’s degree from the Department of Clinical Medicine, Anhui Medical University in 1985. He received his master’s and doctoral degrees in Neurosurgery from Southeast University in 1992 and Tianjin Medical University in 2001, respectively. From 2001 to 2003, he completed his clinical postdoctoral training in the Department of Neurosurgery at The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University.

Publications: He has published more than 100 papers, among which over 30 are authored as first or corresponding author, and 12 are indexed by SCI and PubMed.

Research Interests:

1. Clinical research on microsurgical (minimally invasive) techniques and skills for brain tumor resection
2. Research on molecular diagnosis and gene therapy of gliomas

He has long been engaged in clinical practice, teaching and scientific research in neurosurgery. He is proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of common neurosurgical disorders and competent in managing complicated and difficult neurosurgical conditions. He has mastered microsurgical and minimally invasive neurosurgical techniques and routinely applies refined microsurgical skills in clinical operations. He has independently completed more than 2,000 neurosurgical (microsurgical) procedures of moderate to high complexity with satisfactory outcomes. His main clinical focus lies in the diagnosis and treatment of various brain tumors and congenital intracranial diseases. In particular, he specializes in microsurgical and minimally invasive resection of brain tumors including gliomas (astrocytomas, ependymomas, medulloblastomas, etc.), meningiomas, vestibular schwannomas and cholesteatomas.
