He received his undergraduate degree from Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences in 1998 and has been working at The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University ever since. He obtained his master’s degree in 2000 and doctoral degree in 2009. He received further training in neuroendoscopy and minimally invasive microsurgery at the Department of Neurosurgery of Cleveland Clinic and UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, USA.

With nearly 20 years of clinical experience in neurosurgery, he is proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of common neurosurgical disorders. He specializes in the diagnosis, endoscopic, minimally invasive microsurgical and precise comprehensive management of brain tumors (meningiomas, gliomas, vestibular schwannomas, craniopharyngiomas, ventricular tumors, nerve sheath tumors, brain metastases, pituitary adenomas, etc.), hydrocephalus, intraventricular lesions, spinal cord tumors, traumatic brain injury, hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage, pediatric neurosurgical conditions and congenital malformations, trigeminal neuralgia, hemifacial spasm and other disorders. He is particularly adept at minimally invasive neurosurgery under neuroendoscope and microscope.
