The Health Management Center of Renji Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine is divided into three campuses: East, West, and South, with a total area of more than 6,000 square meters. The center has a high-quality professional team with more than 50 in-service members, including physicians, nurses, technicians, administrative staff, and assistants. Among them, 14 physicians have backgrounds in both health management and clinical specialties, including 3 with senior professional titles, 8 with intermediate professional titles, 2 with doctoral degrees, and 10 with master's degrees. The center is among the first batch of national "Health Management Demonstration Bases" of the Chinese Medical Association Health Management Branch, one of 16 national "Health Management Demonstration Flagship Units," has ranked among the top 20 nationwide in the Fudan Edition "China Hospital Specialty Reputation Rankings" for two consecutive years, fourth in East China and first in Shanghai, was selected for the "China Hospital Competitiveness · Top 100 Tertiary Hospital Health Management (Physical Examination) Institutions" list, won the "Discipline Construction Award" of the Chinese Medical Association Health Management Branch, and has continuously been awarded exempt status from Shanghai health management quality control inspections. Relying on the strong medical strength of Renji Hospital, the center continuously advances the development of smart health management informatization, improves physical examination service content, and adds new examination items, including the latest disease-related risk genetic testing, early tumor screening tests, PET-CT and PET-MRI examinations, making comprehensive and in-depth precision physical examinations and early prevention and early intervention of various chronic diseases possible. The center's offline "Post-Examination Clinic" and online "Internet Hospital - Post-Examination Clinic" can interpret examination reports for examinees and formulate follow-up health management plans. The multi-department consultation (MDC) clinic invites expert teams from our hospital's leading disciplines for joint consultations, providing one-stop connection to expert treatment for examinees in need. Its high-end physical examination and inpatient physical examination services can achieve customized pre-examination consultation, dedicated accompaniment throughout the examination, and post-examination connection to our hospital's expert teams, combining both service and quality. In addition, the center also undertakes various specialty and special examinations, such as tumor screening, gastrointestinal diseases, urinary system, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and metabolic diseases special packages, and will continue to expand the scope of specialties. In recent years, the center's business volume has continued to rise. In 2023, it served more than 130,000 physical examination clients, provided more than 3,000 pre-examination consultations for special needs, handled nearly 300 emergency medical cases during examinations, exceeded 10,000 visits in post-examination clinics, and provided nearly 700 visits in MDC clinics; post-examination clinics and MDC clinics directly referred more than 3,000 patients, including nearly 170 surgeries. Emphasizing both volume and quality, the center was awarded an excellent unit in Shanghai quality control inspections for 2021-2023. In terms of discipline construction, in 2023 the center became one of the first national co-construction units for health management medical disciplines, was approved as a national clinical pharmacology base as a new specialty, and hosted the 8th East China Six Provinces and One City Health Management Forum. In the past 5 years, it has won 1 third prize of the Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Award and 1 third prize of the Huaxia Medical Science and Technology Award, led 2 national-level projects and participated in 1, led 3 provincial and ministerial-level projects and participated in 1 with an award, and published a total of 44 research papers, including 32 SCI-indexed papers. In addition, the center integrates general and specialized practice and strives to develop distinctive sub-specialties. In 2019, it established the "Brain Health and Cognitive Disorder Research Team," actively carried out the construction of a brain health population cohort, and is committed to the early prevention and treatment of brain diseases. By the end of 2023, the center had completed more than 80,000 brain health screenings and more than 6,300 cognitive screenings for elderly community populations. Its research results on a new digital cognitive screening method for Alzheimer's disease were published in a top journal in the field. From 2019 to 2023, it continuously cooperated with UNSW-CHeBA (Centre for Healthy Brain Ageing) in Australia to hold five China-Australia Brain Health and Cognition Forums and the national-level continuing education course "New Advances in Neurocognitive Diseases." It participated in 3 international multicenter RCTs for early Alzheimer's disease, opened a Brain Health Clinic at the East Campus, and opened a Memory Disorder Clinic at the South Campus, providing comprehensive early prevention, early diagnosis, and early treatment for at-risk screened populations and carrying out full-course brain health management.
