Is Dovecure a hospital?
No. Dovecure is a third-party medical concierge service, not a medical institution. We do not provide diagnosis, treatment or prescriptions; clinical opinions are given by the consulting physician during the video call, and clinical responsibility rests with that physician.
Are the video-consult physicians reliable?
All partner physicians are licensed Chinese hospital physicians at attending level or above and have passed our credential verification. Partner institutions are predominantly Class 3A hospitals, including JCI-accredited facilities.
Will the session be recorded?
Not by default. Without written consent from both the physician and the patient, neither side may screen-record, screenshot, or share the call. Your data is encrypted end to end and is not disclosed to any third party without authorization.
What if I don't know how to use Zoom?
We send the Zoom link, meeting ID and quick-start guide 24 hours before the call. A technician joins you 10 minutes before the call to run a connection test and confirm audio, video and network are working.
Is 15 minutes enough? Can I extend?
A standard session is about 15 minutes. We recommend preparing your key points and questions in advance. If the physician's schedule allows, the call can be extended at + $200 / 10 min, with any partial 10-min block rounded up.
What if I'm late? Can I reschedule?
If you are more than 10 minutes late, the session is forfeited, with one free reschedule available. Rescheduling is free up to 24 hours before the call (once). From the 2nd time, $200 per reschedule. If the physician is delayed, the call is extended by the same duration.
Can you issue a prescription? Can you handle emergencies?
No prescriptions. Dovecure does not issue prescriptions or sell medications; for prescription drugs, follow the physician's advice and visit a local provider. This service does not handle emergencies — for urgent or life-threatening conditions, call your local emergency number or go to the nearest ER.
Do I need to sign a paper contract?
No. This agreement takes effect when you click "Agree" inside the platform on the App or Web — no printing, signing, or mailing required.
