The Department of Nutrition is primarily engaged in medical nutrition therapy for diseases and the preparation of meals for inpatients and newborns. It is a clinical discipline integrating medical care, education, research, and public outreach. The department currently has 6 members, including 2 physicians and 4 dietitians. At present, it undertakes nutrition outpatient services and nutrition therapy and nutrition support for inpatients, dietary management for inpatients, infant formula preparation, and nutrition education for inpatients. It also participates in nutrition health education in our hospital and conducts nutrition health lectures in the community. The department also undertakes part of the clinical nutrition teaching work for Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine and Shanghai University of Medicine & Health Sciences. As a clinical department combining clinical practice and medical technology, we serve patients and also pay attention to the health of the general public, carrying out distinctive medical nutrition diagnosis and treatment services in an orderly manner.
