The Department of Rheumatology and Immunology primarily diagnoses and treats various rheumatic and immune-mediated diseases as well as immune-related complex conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjögren's syndrome, ankylosing spondylitis/spondyloarthritis, gout, osteoarthritis, systemic vasculitis, inflammatory myopathies, scleroderma, and the screening for complex etiologies such as fever/joint pain. The department adheres to the chronic disease management philosophy of "standardized diagnosis and treatment, precise medication, and long-term follow-up," integrating clinical assessment with laboratory/imaging examinations for stratified diagnosis and treatment and efficacy monitoring, and formulating individualized treatment plans.
