The Physical Examination Center of Peking University Third Hospital was established in December 2010. With the mission of maintaining and promoting public health, and relying on the comprehensive strength of Peking University Third Hospital, it provides high-quality, personalized health examination and health management services to the whole society. The center currently operates branches at the main hospital campus, Capital Airport campus, Northern campus, and Daxing Airport campus. Through multidisciplinary collaboration with the hospital's advantageous departments, the center conducts functional assessments and evaluations of organ systems, including physical activity capacity assessment, women's health status assessment, preconception health assessment, cancer risk assessment, comprehensive ophthalmologic evaluation, and osteoporosis risk assessment. Since 2015, the hospital has established the Physical Examination Center Advisory Committee and Expert Committee to oversee teaching quality and examination standards. Currently, 45 advisors and 39 experts participate in this work. Through regular meetings of the Expert Committee and Advisory Committee, the physical examination items are continuously reviewed and validated to ensure their scientific rigor. To better enhance the quality of health management services, we arrange professional physicians to guide examinees in completing pre-examination assessment questionnaires before the physical examination. Through systematic evaluation and personalized consultation, we help examinees clarify their health needs and develop more targeted examination plans. After the examination, we provide one-on-one, face-to-face report interpretation and health guidance, actively intervene in health risks, and tailor personalized health improvement plans. For examinees with significant positive findings, we conduct timely telephone follow-ups, continuously track and urge them to seek further diagnosis and treatment, and assist in arranging post-examination outpatient appointments. Through the establishment of health records, health examinations, health risk assessments, personal health consultations, follow-up personal health management services, and specialized health and disease management services, we implement comprehensive population health management. The main campus Physical Examination Center of Peking University Third Hospital is located in the Health and Medical Center Building, providing health management services with a pleasant environment, complete hardware facilities, and a professional medical team. Since 2016, leveraging the professional support of Peking University Third Hospital's traditionally advantageous departments including Sports Medicine, Orthopedics, Cardiology, and Rehabilitation Medicine, the center has systematically developed the "Physical Activity Capacity Assessment and Intervention Program" and integrated it into the routine physical examination process. This program scientifically quantifies and assesses human physical activity capacity. Based on comprehensive health analysis, it accurately obtains individual safe and effective exercise physiological thresholds, identifies deficiencies and imbalances in physical activity function, and screens for potential acute and chronic injury risks in daily life and during exercise. Based on the assessment results, we provide examinees with personalized and precise exercise recommendation plans. Through scientific exercise intervention, we effectively enhance physical function, address capability deficiencies, and reduce exercise-related risks. This program not only helps examinees clarify their safe exercise boundaries but also prevents exercise-related injuries at the source, strengthening overall health management. Additionally, we provide continuous follow-up and health management services to ensure that intervention measures are effectively implemented and health benefits are continuously improved.
